Government of India for Inviting Overseas Buyers and Buying Agents Under Reverse Bsm

India Market Days is a project approved by Ministry of Textiles and is funded under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India for inviting overseas buyers and buying agents under Reverse BSM.

Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) an apex body of Indian apparel exporters has organized the ‘India Market Days’ at Apparel House, Gurgaon, its world class venue for the business of fashion from 8th to 9thApril 2013. Chairman AEPC Dr. A Sakthivel inaugurated the April 2013 edition of India Market Days.

During his address Chairman AEPC welcomed the buyers and said, “The event will help the garment exporters find the right partners for their business. Through Apparel House, we have provided them with the well spaced showrooms wherein they can interact and negotiate good business.”

Market Days is one of the endeavors for AEPC’s export promotion initiatives for the year 2013, wherein we are hopeful that the apparel exporters will generate good business deals with buyers from the continent countries, he added.

Shri Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman (Export Promotion) in his statement stated that, “AEPC by organizing India Market Days, is once again ready to provide an opportunity and a platform where wonderful products are displayed in the showrooms.  Buyers’ may like to avail this opportunity to choose from the wide spectrum of products at one place. This Fair will help you develop your creative collection and augment your resources.”

Shri Lalit Thukral, Convener, India Market Days  remarked that, “It is heartening to note that AEPC is taking concrete and planned steps to promote the Apparel House by holding regular India Market Days. I am also thankful for the grant which Ministry of Textiles has given for this purpose.   During these hard times any and every effort by AEPC and the ministry however small is welcome.  I am confident that like in past, we shall be able to cross these turbulent times once again and come out with flying colours.”

The product profile of the event covered the entire value chain of the textile and clothing industry and included the following: Blouses, Casual Wear, Children’s Wear, Co-ordinates, Denim Wear,

Infants’ Wear,  Knitwear, Ladies Wear, Men’s Wear, Shirts, Shorts, Silk Garments, Skirts, Suits,  Sweat Shirt, T-Shirt, Trousers, Vest, Cocktail Dresses, Evening Dresses, Bodysuit, Brief, Home Wear, Fashion Jewellery, Men’s Underwear, Nightwear & Pajamas, Outerwear, Pareos, Scarfs, Stoles, Handbags, Cushion covers, bed covers, fabrics, etc.

India Market days will provide an opportunity to analyze and choose, from the wide spectrum of existing and emerging products at one place, analyze prevailing rates in the market, finalise bulk requirements and negotiate best rates for bulk orders.

Standee of India Market Day was displayed in all the Export Promotion overseas events to promote the India Market Day for April editions.

Fliers regarding India Market Day were distributed through our Regd. Office, and other associations.

In order to boost Indian exports of garments and fashion accessories, more than 100 show-room holders are going to exhibit their latest collections to buyers from countries like Greece, Australia, Botswana, South Africa, Ecuador and USA. Some of the leading buying agents will be visiting India Market Days.

Exhibitors/ showroom holders are from cities like Jaipur, Gurgaon, Noida, New Delhi, Ludhiana etc. Buyers from Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc visited the India Market Days fair.
