It is required for automotive industry to seek a high-strength grade of steel. The present focus on fuel efficiency, light structure, low material cost and ultra-high-strength formable steel. Ruukki was one of the first suppliers to invest in multiphase steel production. Since 1980s Ruukki started producing hot-dip galvanized ultra-high strength steels including DP, CP and Litec tubes for OEM requirement used in bumper systems and inside cross beams.
