The Peugeot 2008 compact SUV has been officially revealed ahead of its world debut at the Geneva motor show in March.
Coming just hours after the first images of the crossover leaked, the French manufacturer has revealed official shots and details of the new Peugeot 2008 that it says is aimed at a new generation of emerging customers who “feed on dynamism”.
At 4160mm long, the 2008 is just 180mm shorter than the Mitsubishi ASX-based Peugeot 4008 and sports black bumpers and side skirts with stainless steel highlights, LED daytime running lights and tail-lights, a panoramic roof, and 17-inch matt finish wheels.
Peugeot says the 2008 is equally at ease in town or on the open road, combining the driving characteristics of a hatchback with the strength of an SUV.
To be produced in France, China and Brazil, the Peugeot 2008 will reach Australian shores in October/November.
Currently Peugeot Australia offers the 4007 and 4008 SUVs, starting at $34,990 and $28,990 respectively, as well as the 3008 crossover, which starts from $36,490.
