Reportedly, Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau planned to begin the production of flat steel in the first quarter of 2013.
However, there is no any further detail has offered so far.
Meanwhile, the company has under testing run stage for flat steel line and the new line has designed annual hot rolled coil production capacity by 800,000 tons at its Açominas plant in Minas Gerais state in 2015.
In the meantime, the company expects to support flat steel market specially for infrastructure purpose this year.
