Raute has been awarded a €14m contract by Pollmeier to supply various components for the LVL works planned for the Creuzburg site. Raute reports that the order covers an 8-ft peeling line, a veneer-drying line and a lay-up line. The components will be produced in the two Finnish Raute plants in Nastola and Kajaani and the Chinese plant in Shanghai. Delivery of the components ordered from Raute is scheduled for the spring of 2013, and commissioning of the plant will probably be carried out in the autumn of 2013. The contract for the supply of an LVL press has not yet been awarded; Pollmeier is currently still negotiating with various press manufacturers. Source: euwid-wood-products
