On June 30, Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shagang Group's cold rolled silicon steel continuous annealing unit No. 1, designed and built by WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Corporation (MCC), successfully completed a hot run test, as reported by MCC on July 3.
The unit in question is part of Shagang Group's cold rolled project No. 1, which includes the construction of two cold rolled non-grain-oriented (NGO) continuous annealing units, each with an annual output of 500,000 mt.
The project is the first silicon steel production project on which WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd has worked for a private sector enterprise.
