Sunil Sethi says, “Fashion Design Council of India is proud to announce that the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Fall 2013 will begin with a fashion show by Masaba Gupta for Satya Paul. Her first collection for the 27-year old label will be the opening show of the five-day fashion event. In India, this is the first collection designed for an established design house by a designer from outside the family that started it.”
Satya Paul appointed 24-year old Masaba Gupta as Fashion Director late last year.

ABOUT MASABA GUPTA
Masaba Gupta launched her eponymous label July 2009. With a Diploma in Apparel Manufacture and Design from Mumbai’s SNDT Women’s University (2009), she created a diffusion line catering to women from the age group of 25-50 years. The colors are vibrant with patchwork playing a predominant role in most of the garments. The color palette is vast, with canary yellows, aubergines, paprika reds, bottle greens, deep aqua, all polished off with black and white. Masaba’s first collection, Kattran, debuted at Lakme Fashion Week under the GenNext category for Spring Summer 2010.
