Officeworks has reported a 0.3 increase in sales for the second quarter with online and B2B transactions continuing to trend upwards.
Total sales for the second quarter4 were $350 million while store sales were 0.1 per cent above the previous corresponding period.
For the first half9 of the 2013 financial year, total sales increased 0.3 per cent to $712 million.
Transaction growth for the half was strong and growth in online sales exceeded 10 per cent. Total store sales for the half were 0.1 per cent below the previous corresponding period.
Wesfarmers home improvement and office supplies managing director John Gillam said said Officeworks was progressing well with the development of its “every channel” offer to customers.
“Providing a broad range of customers with a compelling in-store offer while continuing to invest in the online channel remain key priorities for the team”, Gillam said.
During the quarter, four new Officeworks stores were opened.
