The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has announced that in early August (Aug. 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.76 million mt, up 5.5 percent compared to late July (July 21-31). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in early August was estimated at 2.14 million mt, indicating an increase of 2.7 percent compared with late July.
Meanwhile, as of August 10 this year, inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 12.16 million mt, down 190,000 mt as compared to the figure recorded on July 31.
According to the CISA's previous figures, in late July this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.6725 million mt, down 2.67 percent compared to mid-July (July 11-20). In late July, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.0844 million mt, indicating a drop of 2.16 percent compared with mid-July.
