Tri-Star Packaging Is Set to Launch Its Range of Eco-Friendly Food-to-Go Packaging

Packaging and disposables supplier Tri-Star Packaging is set to launch its range of eco-friendly food-to-go packaging and disposable tableware at Lunch! exhibition 2013 taking place at London’s Business Design Centre from 26-27 September.

Initially the company will introduce the Buckaty Collection, a line of round food-to-go containers, which are suitable for a variety of deli foods.

The stackable containers are made from recyclable board with a greaseproof lining and can hold hot and cold food, including salads, pasta, fruit and soup. They are suitable for use in the microwave and for storage in the fridge and freezer.

Available in four sizes ranging from 470ml to 1,000ml, all with a single diameter to fit a choice of three lids, the containers are printable for branding opportunities.

Tri-Star will also present its Kray Collection of food boxes, which are made from recycled and recyclable greaseproof board.

The microwavable boxes are suitable for hot and cold takeaway foods and are available in nine sizes each with window-lids to increase product visibility and presentation.

Eco-Design Collection is the new range from Tri-Star's environmentally-friendly range, a selection of white disposable tableware made from Bagasse, or sugar cane pulp.

The tableware is said to be ideal for meals with sauce and is an economical solution for all types of hot and cold food. Recyclable PET/rPET lids are also available.

Another disposable tableware option, the new Bio & Chic Collection made from Bagasse will also be introduced. The plates are suitable for all types of hot and cold foods and are accompanied by clear PET lids which are 100% recyclable.

Tri-Star managing director Kevin Curran said, "Sustainability is a subject very close to our hearts at Tri-Star and something we prioritise in all the products we supply."

At Lunch!, the company will also exhibit the new IRIS salad range, from Anson, which has been designed to sit within the salad packaging tier.

The range is suitable for leaf, fruit and pasta salads and is available in four sizes of 375cc, 500cc, 750cc and 1000cc.
