Snapdeal Signed a MoU with FDDI to Provide Ecommerce Industry Intelligence

Etailer Snapdeal.com has signed a MoU with Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) to provide ecommerce industry intelligence to FDDI design students.

Snapdeal will impart training to students on e-commerce business and e-retailing of new products in categories like footwear, apparel, leather goods and accessories.

In addition, Snapdeal will be an industry partner for FDDI’s proposed Incubation Center for design and development of footwear, apparel, leather goods, handbags, wallets, accessories etc.

This partnership will help FDDI students gain exposure to various best practices of e-commerce industry through Snapdeal and enable the students to become e-commerce ready.

Under the terms of the MoU, Snapdeal through its marketplace will also provide a platform for products developed by FDDI students under FDDI's social and artisan development program.

Amit Maheshwari, vice president - Fashion at Snapdeal said, “We will share our market insights with students of FDDI which can aid design students in becoming market ready for the future.”

He added, “Under this partnership, Snapdeal will not only provide market insights, but also help in product realisation of designs developed by the FDDI students through pan-India market access.
