Label Products has purchased new Xeikon 3300 digital label press to increase the production of its products.
The company will use the new digital label press to print on transparent materials for beverage and food packaging.
Xeikon 3300, which is a roll-to-roll machine that features white toner in a single pass, holds capability to produce very small series of warning labels.
The machine is colorfast and resistant to sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor applications.
The digital label printer is said to close the gap between high volumes and large series of small volumes.
Label Products CEO Pieter Dhondt said: "The acquisition of the Xeikon 3300 was the logical next step to take the weight off our offset presses and gives us the opportunity to offer new products."
Xeikon, which is a division of Flint Group, develops and markets web-fed digital colour presses for label and packaging applications, document printing, and commercial printing.
The firm's presses use LED-array-based electrophotography, open workflow software and application-specific toners.
