Sichuan Province-based Chinese company Chengyu Vanadium and Titanium Technology Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Sichuan-based steelmaker Tranvic Group, has successfully carried out a hot run test on its new vanadium-titanium iron ore sintering machine, which produced its first sinter, as announced by state-owned China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC). Construction work and installation of the new sintering machine was carried out by Jiangsu Province-based Huatian Engineering and Technology Co, a subsidiary of MCC.
The overall project in question involved the construction of two sintering machines, the first of which was put into operation on November 4, 2011. The total annual output capacity of the two sintering machines is 7.47 million mt.
