Kardemir, the largest steel long products manufacturer in Turkey announced to raise its domestic prices for steel bars from July 10th, driven by higher prices of imported scraps and stronger demand.
After announcement, its new sales prices for round bars are at TRY1,187/ton, rising by TRY43/ton from its previous prices announced on June 26th.
However, the company’s prices for billet and bloom remained unchanged at US$505~US$515/ton and US$618/ton respectively.
Meanwhile, Kardemir produced 382,007 tons of crude steel in the first quarter of this year, rising by from 373,467 tons in the same period of a year ago.
