Its’ reported that the Japanese steel mills hiked the export quotes of steel wire products to Taiwan for the second quarter.
It’s said that the Japanese steelmakers increased the quotes of low-alloy steel wires to US$780~US$790/ton C&F to Taiwan for the second quarter, rising by US$80/ton from a quarter ago.
However, the prices is uncompetitive against the prices offered by China Steel Corp. (CSC in the Taiwanese market
Meanwhile, Taiwan imported 20,212 tons of alloy steel wire products in the first two months of this year, including 11,026 tons from Japan.
