PCB equipment maker Csun Manufacturing will begin shipping its PSS (patterned sapphire substrate) manufacturing equipment in December, pushing its revenues for the month to over NT$500 million (US$17.13 million), according to industry sources.
For all of the fourth quarter of 2012, revenues are expected to grow 10-15% as compared to the previous quarter, the sources estimated.
Csun posted revenues of NT$261 million (US$8.97 million) in November, up 17% sequentially but down 2.1% on year. For the first 11 months of 2012, revenues totaled NT$3.19 billion, decreasing 22.2% from a year earlier.
With capital spending in the flat panel, touchscreen and PCB industries, as well as wafer foundry houses, expected to remain strong in 2013, equipment orders from those sectors will buoy Csun's sales performance in the first quarter of 2013, said the sources.
