Vivid Outlines Key R&D Personnel Changes

As part of a company strategy to bolster design resource, Fi Murray has been promoted to the newly created role of principal creative.

Vivid has made several key personnel changes to its R&D department to support the continued growth and investment in its in-house product development and growing international business.

As part of a company strategy to bolster design resource, Fi Murray (pictured above) has been promoted to the newly created role of principal creative, reporting to R&D manager James Wing (above, middle).

Murray will be responsible for identifying and exploiting new product opportunities and trends and her role will also include driving brand extensions and Vivid IP.

Elsewhere, Ross Coffield (above, left) has been promoted to senior design engineer. Coffield has previously provided innovative features and solutions on several of Vivid’s high profile brands including Animagic, Fungus Amungus and Thunderbirds.

Finally, Vivid have recruited Lauren Mayor to join the team as a product designer. Mayor, a graduate of Brunel University, joins from Tomy where she worked on Lamaze. Previously at Fuse, Mayor worked on Sophia the First and Vivid’s very own Crayola items.

“These changes are an extremely positive step and strengthen Vivid’s capability of developing new product and cohesive lines, be they in-house brands or licensed opportunities” said James Wing, Vivid’s R&D manager.
