The Swedish steelmaker SSAB posted an operating loss of SEK136 million for the first quarter of this year, in comparison of an operating loss of SEK665 million in a quarter ago. Meanwhile, the company's consolidated shipments in the first quarter of this year totaled 1.1 million tons, increasing by 16% from a quarter ago, driven by the restocking in the market. In the given period of time, the consolidated sales revenues totaled SEK 8.83 billion, rising by 6% from a quarter ago. Besides, SSAB's prices of steel products in the first quarter of this year remained flat from the previous quarter.
