Spectra Packaging Created a New Range of Flip-Top Closures

UK-based Spectra Packaging has created a new range of flip-top closures, which are said to fit its standard containers.

Initially, the company will launch a 24/415 neck version, followed by 24/410 and 20/415 options in the coming months.

According to the company, the flip-tops are bore-sealed closures. The inside of the cap slides tightly into the inside of the bottles neck cavity for a better seal and do away with potential leaks and drips.

A new improved ergonomic thumb recess appears on both the top flip element and the main body of the cap, which means the closure can be easily flip opened.

Spectra managing director Joe Maynard said the challenge of the company's creative team has succeeded on both counts pertaining to existing flip top designs and the way they could improve performance and aesthetics.

"It was important for us not to simply re-create what was already available, we wanted to offer customers a genuine improvement," Maynard added.

Spectra noted that the new closures can now be manufactured and colored in house at the company's bespoke manufacturing plant in the UK.
