RR Donnelley has invested in two Xeikon 9800 presses as part of its efforts to improve operational efficiency.
The first press will be installed in the Netherlands. The Xeikon 9800 press has been developed to enhance document production and media handling, as well as to offer flexible workflow and quality printing.
It provides maximum productivity with one-pass-duplex web fed printing. With 1200 x 3600 dpi addressability, the presses can be used with wide colour gamut and spot colours.
With a top web speed of 1.5 m/min, Xeikon 9800 includes variable data capabilities that enable to use for high-end direct marketing work applications.
Xeikon 9800 can be used to produce a wide substrate range, including coated paper, paperboard and synthetic media.
With better color consistency and professional color management, the press includes five color stations for spot color reproduction and security applications
