Germany's Multivac Introduces New Network-Enabled Thermal Transfer Printer

Multivac Marking & Inspection has introduced a new thermal transfer printer designed for narrow print widths in a range of applications.

The network-enabled thermal transfer printer, TTO 06, has a print resolution of 300 dpi and can print graphics, logos, 1D and 2D codes as well as fixed, variable and combined text fields.

Said to be cost-effective and highly flexible, the printer offers enhanced quality of the thermal transfer printing and the high resolution, allowing even the smallest text blocks to be read clearly.

Additionally, the machine can print flexible date or time formats reliably on labels and packaging films, the firm said.

With a maximum printing width is 32mm, the printer provides only 0.5mm of spacing between two printing operations, thus reducing the ink ribbon consumption.

The printer, which can work as intermittently or continuously, also provides various ribbon-saving functions.

Multivac said: “Just like the TTO 10/11/20 models, it can be integrated into a label dispenser, or it can print directly onto the film as a constituent part of a direct web printer on a traysealer or thermoforming packaging machine.”

In order to enable easy and efficient operation for user, the printer’s operation is completely integrated in the HMI 2.0 of the packaging machine or marking system.

The company said that it will ensure perfect printing results and prevent lost time for the machines by conducting tests with customer's specific material.

Germany-based Multivac is engaged in providing packaging solutions for food products of all types, life science and healthcare products as well as industrial items.
