Marion DuPont Scott School Announced Its Tuesday Talk Topics for Early 2014

Virginia Tech's Marion DuPont Scott School of Veterinary Medicine has announced its"Tuesday Talk"topics for early 2014.The Tuesday Talks lectures series is designed to provide horse owners and professionals with valuable insight and practical advice on a variety of equine health-care topics.

All Tuesday Talk lectures will be held at 7 p.m.in the Equine Medical Center's library,unless otherwise stated.Dates and topics include:

January 7,2014:"Diagnosis and Treatment of Lower Airway Conditions:Lower airway infections and how to treat them effectively,"presented by Dr.Martin Furr,professor and Adelaide C.Riggs chair in equine medicine,Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center;

February 11,2014:"Tendons,Ligaments and Imaging:'No leg no horse':Advances in diagnosis and treatment of tendon and ligament injuries,"presented by Dr.Nathaniel White,professor emeritus of equine surgery,Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center;

March 11,2014:"Sports Medicine&Lameness:What can go wrong within your horse's joint and how we can help,"presented by Dr.Jennifer Barrett,Theodora Ayer Randolph professor of equine surgery,Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center;

April 8,2014(location TBD):"Advances in Holistic Equine Medicine:Ways to complement traditional medicine for your horse's complete wellbeing,"presented by Dr.Anne Desrochers,clinical assistant professor of equine internal medicine,Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center.
