Local news outlets reported Tuesday that a fire broke out Monday night at AK Steel’s Middletown, Ohio mill. Authorities believe the fire started with oil in a storage tanker, but the cause is still under investigation.
One employee was reportedly inside the building but made it out safely.
“Mike Wallner, general manager of communications and public relations, told local media that "there were no injuries and the company does not anticipate any impact to the plant's operations."
