China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Confirmed Discovery of Nonferrous Metals Reserves

China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region confirmed the discovery of nonferrous metals reserves including 2.2 million mt of copper, 9.04 million mt of lead and zinc, 3.64 million mt of molybdenum and 159.44 mt of gold from 2011 until October 2013, China's Ministry of Land and Resources said on its website Thursday.

A total of 32 new large- and medium-scale mineral deposits were found in the Inner Mongolia region during the three-year period, MLR said.

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China has an abundance of natural resources including metals and coal.
