LED Driver and Analog IC Maker Silergy Expects Its Sales to Remain Brisk

LED driver and analog IC maker Silergy expects its sales to remain brisk in the fourth quarter of 2014 after its revenues hit a record high of NT$326 million (US$10.73 million) in September thanks to the release of new IC parts for IoT, telematics and consumer applications, according to company chairman Issac Chen.

Silergy's monthly figures for September were the third highest for listed Taiwan-based analog IC vendors, trailing after only Richtek Technology and Global Mixed-mode Technology (GMT).

Silergy has continued to land pull-in orders from clients in China since the beginning of the fourth quarter, driven by brisk domestic demand, Chen noted.

Silergy plans to release more than 100 analog solutions before year-end 2014 to cash in on rising demand, Chen revealed.

Silergy's shipments of new LED application chips and analog ICs will gain momentum starting the fourth quarter, Chen added.
