The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Friday the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping order on circular welded non-alloy steel pipe and tube (standard pipe) from Mexico.
The review originally covered eight companies: Conduit S.A. de C.V. (Conduit); Lamina y Placa Comercial, S.A. de C.V. (Lamina); Mueller Comercial de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. (Mueller); PYTCO, S.A. de C.V. (PYTCO); Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos, S.A. de C.V. (Regiomontana); Southland Pipe Nipples Co., Inc. (Southland); Ternium Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (Ternium); and Tuberia Nacional, S.A. de C.V. (Tuberia Nacional).? The period covered is November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2012.
Subsequent to the initiation of this review, the requests were withdrawn for reviews of Conduit, PYTCO, Southland, and Ternium.? Accordingly, the DOC has rescinded the review of these companies.
The DOC has preliminarily determined that the remaining companies--Lamina , Mueller, Regiomontana, and Tuberia Nacional--made no shipments of subject merchandise to the United States during the period of review.
The DOC plans to complete this review and issue its final results by December 2013.? Until the final results are published in the Federal Register, the current dumping duty deposit rates will remain in effect.
The current dumping duty deposit rates for these companies are: Lamina (formerly Tuberia Nacional) - 2.92 percent; Mueller - 19.81 percent; Ternium - 48.33 percent; Tuberia Nacional - 2.92 percent; and the "All Others" rate of 36.62 percent for the remaining companies.
