WellStar Health System is set to install Capsule Tech's DataCaptor software across its five-hospital system in Marietta, Georgia, US.
Initially focusing on the surgical settings, the DataCaptor will capture the physiological data directly from anesthesia machines and distribute the data to Epic via Capsule terminal servers.
The implementation of the software is phase I rollout to multiple care areas.
Enabling connectivity between any virtual medical device and any virtual EMR system, Capsule's DataCaptor device integration solutions allows hospitals to choose their type and scope of project.
By installing the device through the software on PC, terminal server, and/or bedside hardware such as the Capsule Neuron, the patient data can be gathered continuously in the acute-care settings, or in lower acuity periodically, in multi-patient environments.
The implementation of the software range from single department to multi-facilities. In a few cases system-wide deployment at hundreds of hospitals can also take place in one network.
