US-based packaging company Aptar has launched the 2-1/8” 33-400 Ecolite closure with SimpliSqueeze valve for the food industry.
Ecolite’s design is claimed to be similar with the company’s 2-1/8” Ribbed closure. However, it is lighter than Ribbed with a 14% reduction in total weight.
Aptar says that the reduced weight allows the company to stay competitively priced in the market. The company expects to deliver on the sustainability goals of its customers.
Ecolite comprises a wide 2-1/8” diameter lid which enables packages to be inverted and yet stay stable when not in use. According to Aptar, inverted applications deliver the ultimate in consumer convenience, as the product is ready to dispense at any point of time.
The new closure from the Illinois-based manufacturer is integrated with its SimpliSqueeze valve technology which can always provide a clean and controlled dispense for consumers.
Last month, Aptar’s food and beverage division redesigned its Polka dispensing closure to target sauce manufacturers.
The 38-400 closure solution dubbed as Polka was redesigned to provide a more convenient and exciting experience to sauces and condiments consumers, stated Aptar.
Polka’s patented finger recess along with an innovative high resistance hinge make it easy to open. This closure solution as well uses Aptar’s SimpliSqueeze valve technology which helps in non-drip and non-mess dispensing while making squeezing easier for consumers.
Polka also comes with drain holes, making it ideal for various filling processes, including hot filling, stated Aptar.
The company, which has manufacturing presence across 18 countries, provides dispensing systems and packaging solutions for food and beverage, beauty and home, and pharma sectors.
