PDC International, a provider of shrink seal and shrink label technology for packaging in several industries, has introduced R-100 shrink labeler, an economical, compact system designed for moderate speed applications.
The company said the R-100 labeler, which is part of the Evolution Series, is flexible enough for several kinds of products.
Ideal for shrink sleeving application with speeds up to 120 containers per minute, the R-100 machine can apply oriented graphics onto non-round containers such as ovals and squares.
Additionally, the system can run thin films and is compatible with PVC, PETG, OPS and PLA labels in gauges as thin as 30 micron.
PDC International said that the new machine can also run tamper evident labels with horizontal and partial vertical perforation, as well as twin packing.
The optional all stainless steel sanitary construction of the R-100 machine makes it ideal for food, beverage, pharma and wet environments.
The machine’s product handling options comprise a metering wheel, and single or dual timing screws.
Said to be easy to maintain as it uses all off-the-shelf purchased parts, the R-100 labeler uses servo motors for label registration and application.
The R-100 machine, which features PDC’s patented micro-perforation and separation cutting technology, allows integration of shrink tunnels, conveyors, vision, barcode, inspection, and coding systems based on requirement.
PDC International said: “With no spinning knives that can dull easily, the PDC system is far more durable, lasting months, not days. All units are built in the US.”
PDC International is engaged n in providing shrink seal and shrink label technology for packaging in the food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceutical industries.
