CGS, a leading global provider of technology solutions, hosted their 11th annual INSIGHT customer conference Sunday April 28th – Wednesday May 1st at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ.
The annual event provides CGS customers the opportunity to hear from industry and solution experts on how best to leverage CGS software and maximize their business potential.
Highlights of the conference included a keynote speech from renowned futurist, entrepreneur, and business strategy expert Ross Dawson that featured a look into the future of consumer retail. Ari Hoffmann, President and CEO of Benetton USA, spoke about an array of pressing topics including social responsibility, the importance of having a diverse global supply chain, social media, mobile commerce, and omni-channel retail.
CGS also unveiled new features and product enhancements for their BlueCherry Suite of apparel software solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one sessions with CGS experts for valuable information in several areas including product development, supply chain management, demand management, logistics, finance, and technology.
“With over 150 attendees and industry experts, I am proud to say that INSIGHT 2013 was a rousing success,” said Paul Magel, President of Applications Solutions at CGS. “This year’s theme, ‘360 Degrees of Collaboration’—and how CGS solutions promote that collaboration between attendees, their customers, and CGS—offered critical takeaways that will empower our customers to reach their full business potential with CGS solutions and provided helpful knowledge and tips they can apply to their day-to-day operations and best practices.”
INSIGHT 2013 caps what was an active twelve months for the global technology solutions provider. In December, CGS acquired Threadvine, a dynamic sales tool for engaging buyers with line presentations by email, online or using mobile devices, allowing buyers and reps to collaborate together to instantly place orders online. The addition of Threadvine enables CGS to further enhance their value proposition to the marketplace by offering an exclusive solution that is not available anywhere else.
On the awards front, five CGS customers were chosen as 2013 Top Innovators by Apparel Magazine. Brooks Brothers, Haggar Clothing, Komar, Vix, and ModCloth are recipients of the award that recognizes innovative apparel retailers, brands, and manufacturers, and the strategic business partners that have helped them achieve success. All five organizations exemplify the high return on investment and increased customer satisfaction companies are experiencing with CGS solutions and services.
Additionally, CGS increased their contact center service business for retail companies with the addition of new customers and service enhancements. Among the new customers are a leading women’s clothing and accessories retailer and one of the top creative capital firms in the United States. They also unveiled new, retail-focused contact center offerings including Operations and Technical Support, Monitoring and Management, Customer Care, and Corporate Help Desk.
