Blow-molded plastic containers producer Graham Packaging has laid the cornerstone of its new plant at the South Central Kentucky Industrial Park in the US.
Sprawled over 245,000ft2, the new unit is expected to generate an employment opportunity for 68 people. The entire project will entail an investment $31.5m, including $9.5m for developing the building.
Sun Products provided the land for Graham's new plant, which will manufacture blow-molded plastic containers.
The facility will supply all the products to Sun Products.
Graham Packaging Company CEO Malcolm Bundey said: "We look forward to supporting their production of quality laundry products, and participating in the Bowling Green community for many years to come."
Graham Packaging operates three facilities - one in Lexington and two in Florence - in the Kentucky region, with a workforce of 230.
