Bridgestone Tatabanya Termelo, a subsidiary of Hungary, is planning to invest EUR267m to increase the production capacity of its passenger car radial tires (PSR).
With the investment, production capacity at the Tatabánya Plant is expected to be increased by about 12,000 tires per day, bringing the plant's total capacity to around 18,000 tires per day.
The company said that the expansion is expected to be complete during the first half of 2017.
Optimisation of production and supply systems is being carried out by the company to respond to global market demand trends as well as provide customers with high-quality products.
GM Argentina started operations in 2008 at the 660,000m2 Tatabánya plant that mainly produces passenger car radial tires with a work force of about 350 people.
