South Russian special steel producer Red October announced that some parts of its modernization programs have completed and a centerless grinding and polishing machine has joined on the production line.
The machine can improve product surface through plating, descaling, decorative grinding, finishing, degreasing, cleaning, calibrating, deburring, and removing defects, edge rounding, leveling and precision cutting.
The machine is design to improve billet/bar surface quality but the company hopes it also can increase the output of nickel-bearing pipe billet.
Red October targets developing new products for aerospace and shipbuilding and improving the product quality in the pipe making and auto manufacturing sectors.
