Trade Resources Industry Views Schaefer Systems International Has Redesigned Its Automation Web Site

Schaefer Systems International Has Redesigned Its Automation Web Site

Schaefer Systems International has redesigned its automation web site: automation.ssi-schaefer.us.  The new site design provides resources to visitors and reflects the significant changes that the picking and storage industry has seen over recent years.

"The biggest challenge of redesigning the web site was making it valuable and easy to navigate for both experienced automation professionals as well as for new companies taking the first steps into automation," explains Jennifer Gallman, Marketing and Communications Director for Schaefer's Automated Systems Division.

More and more logistics professionals are moving from a product approach to a solution-based approach that is applicable to their specific market. The redesigned automation site now provides an industry solution section that gives information on different vertical markets such as e-commerce, retail, life sciences, grocery, and industrial.

"Companies are not looking for specific equipment to fit in their warehouse anymore. They are looking for the right solution, the appropriate technology designed to solve their unique distribution challenges," states Dave Simpson, Director of Applications Engineering for Schaefer's Automated Systems Division.

The solution pages offer information on industry trends and concerns along with real life case studies and videos to review.  The industry solutions area looks at the concerns that distribution centers and warehouses experience today such as aggressive throughput requirements, SKU proliferation and space utilization.

"We want our site to be a resource for professionals to reference in the industry. The materials are informative and take an educational approach," says Simpson.

The site also features unique articles, blogs, and case studies. These reference materials help the user better understand the automation process, learn about the latest technology, and address current concerns within the intralogistics industry.
