The New Is to Help Workplace Duty Holders to Comply with Latest Guidance on Safeguarding

New Apollo 600 for Risk-Based Health and Safety Management

The new is specially designed to help workplace duty holders to comply with the latest guidance on safeguarding against the risks posed by appliances and other equipment.

The latest IET Code of Practice stresses the importance of taking a structured approach to risk assessment for the determination of electrical equipment inspection and testing intervals.

This puts a new emphasis on the role of the duty holder and the person performing the inspection and testing in the determination of retest intervals and the management of test results.

Uniquely, to meet this need, the innovative Apollo 600 is equipped with an integral digital camera and onboard risk assessment tool, and can carry out all of the electrical safety tests required by the IET Code.

As a result, the multi-purpose tester brings together a range of features to ensure risk assessments are carried out efficiently and that electrical results are stored against sites, locations and assets, along with visual evidence if required.

This helps the duty holder to comply with The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999) which requires every employer to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to the health and safety of his employees to which they are exposed whilst they are at work. Where the employer has five or more employees, the significant findings of the assessment must be recorded.

The Apollo 600 also provides a simple and effective means of compiling inspection and test reports for many other workplace requirements. These include fire alarm and detection systems and an ability to output a wide range of test reports, safety labels and certificates.

All of this workplace data can be linked with electrical PAT results to provide a comprehensive health and safety management system for compliance with the Electricity At Work Regulations 1989 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
