Germany-based Sympatex Technologies GmbH — a membrane, laminate and functional textile developer, producer and distributor — reports two partner companies have introduced products featuring Sympatex technology.
Baltes Schuhtechnik und Arbeitsschutzprodukte GmbH, Germany, and Sympatex have introduced Moisture-tech 360° laminate for workwear and safety shoes. Sympatex reports the laminate - designed for optimal moisture removal, heat insulation and reduced perspiration water - can be combined with an innovative insole to provide comfort in a safety shoe. According to Sympatex, the laminate's high-performance characteristics have been measured by the Empa Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology. Baltes features the new Moisture-tech 360° technology in its Diva and Surf safety shoes.
Italy-based partner Buratti S.n.c. features Sympatex Climate Technology laminate in its Montana safety shoe. The laminate is manufactured using a 100-percent recyclable Sympatex membrane, a hydrophobic 3-D upper and a hydrophilic lining for total waterproofing, cooling effects and breathability. Sympatex reports this is the first time this particular product has been used in safety shoes.
