Bystronic Glass Is Nearly Finished with Its Proposed Changes

After announcing a reorganization in 2012, Bystronic Glass is nearly finished with its proposed changes, according to an Aug. 7 company press release. Both the strategic business unit for automotive glass and the machine service team for architectural glass cutting machines are under one roof at the Bystronic location in Bützberg, Switzerland. The SBU insulating glass and SBU laminated glass/handling now both reside at the company’s Neuhausen-Hamberg, Germany location.

Accompanying this reorganization were some changes to the company's management. André Brütsch was appointed CEO of the Bystronic Glass Group at the beginning of 2012. Manfred Dietrich is the head of SBU Automotive Glass in Bützberg. Michael Rudloff, head of SBU Insulating Glass at Neuhausen-Hamberg, is the newest addition to the team. Originally located in Gunzenhausen before relocation to Neuhausen-Hamberg, Bernd Bedner continues his responsibility as head of the SBU Laminated Glass/Handling, a post he has held since 2003, according to the release.

“Harnessing our strengths and focus at [Bützberg and Neuhausen-Hamberg] has made us both flexible and more powerful, enabling us to supply customers with high quality products and services to an even better level than previously“, said Brütsch, in the release. “This has enabled us to considerably strengthen our core competencies: architectural glass and automotive glass.“
