Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending November 15, the US rig count increased by eight to 1,762, following a 12-rig increase the previous week. However, the rig count is still down by 47 from 1,809 rigs during the same week a year ago. The oil rig count increased by two to 1,385 whereas the gas rig count increased by five to 370.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 23 in the week ending November 15 to reach 401, following a 16-rig decrease the week before. Still, the Canadian rig count was up 17 from 384 rigs during the same week a year ago.
