According to report, Argentina’s Ternium Siderar said last Friday that it will raise the annual coke production by at least 25%.
Currently the company produces about 1~ 1.1 million tons of coke one year and it will try to raise the capacity by another 250,000 tons a year. However, Siderar did not announce the schedule of the expansion.
The result of expansion is expected to help Siderar to import coke no more.
Siderar is part of Italian-Argentinian Techint group, produces HRC, CRC and hot-dip galvanized steel etc.
