Kraton Performance Polymers is set to exhibit its new styrenic block copolymers (SBC) compounds at EuroMold 2013, to be held from December 3-6, 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany.
According to the company, the SBC-based compounds are soft, durable, sustainable and 100% recyclable for use in fused deposition modeling (FDM) applications.
Kraton's SBCs, that allow production of finished parts with high elasticity features, can be utilized in a thin-wall, co-extruded, overmold solution exhibiting soft touch features.
The company claims that its new SBC-based compounds allow product developers a design freedom in the FDM process with better mechanical properties balance and desirable haptics.
US-based Kraton is engaged in producing engineered polymers and SBCs that are used in a range of applications such as adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants and lubricants, packaging, medical, among others.
The company operates through its five manufacturing plants globally, including its flagship plant in Belpre, Ohio, as well as plants in Germany, France and Brazil, and a joint venture plant in Japan.
