France's Manufacturing Output in June This Year Increased by 1.6 Percent

France's manufacturing output in June this year increased by 1.6 percent month on month, after a 2.3 percent fall in May, and decreased by 0.9 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).

In June, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 3.3 percent month on month, after a month-on-month decrease of 3.5 percent in May.

On the other hand, in June production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry saw an increase of 2.2 percent on month-on-month basis after a 0.3 percent month-on-month decrease recorded in the previous month, while the output of the domestic construction industry increased by 0.2 percent month on month in June, after a decrease of one percent in May compared to April.
