US-based Michter's Distillery has expanded its production capacity, with the installation of a new high column still and a copper pot still doubler at its facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
Manufactured by Vendome Copper & Brass Works, the new distillation equipment uses 2,576ft of copper condensing tube and it has 64,000 gallons of fermentation capacity.
The installation comes in response to the increasing consumer demand for American whiskey both in the US and across the globe.
Additionally, Kentucky whiskey has witnessed 99% increase in exports over the past four years.
Michter's president Joseph J. Magliocco said: "Most of all we would like to thank and to dedicate these two new stills to everyone who enjoys Michter's and makes it possible for us to work in jobs we love making the whiskey we love."
Currently, Michter's offers single barrel Rye, single barrel Bourbon, small-batch Bourbon, and small batch American whiskey.
