Crystal Geyser Water has introduced its Tejava unsweetened black tea in 16.9-ounce PET bottles.
Designed for on-the-go customers, the black tea is available in single-serving, BPA-free and PET plastic recyclable containers.
Crystal Geyser is providing Tejava in PET plastic bottles in Northern California Costco locations.
The firm is also planning to offer new bottles online at Amazon, in addition to cold boxes in grocery stores across the region.
Crystal Geyser will also continue to provide Tejava in traditional 12-ounce and 1-Liter glass containers.
The company has prepared Tejava by using handpicked tea leaves from the Island of Java, Indonesia.
Crystal Geyser Water marketing and innovation executive vice president Judy Yee said: "One thing we know about Tejava customers, is that they are passionate about its bold, yet smooth taste.
"They enjoy drinking it at home or at work in glass bottles, but they also want to take it on-the-go. With this more portable, convenient option, Tejava can go everywhere our customers go—in the car, at school, sporting events or concerts.”
"Our Tejava in PET bottles is brewed using the same process as our Tejava in glass containers. We are confident our customers will enjoy the same incredible taste and quality they have come to expect from Tejava.”
Established in 1977, Crystal Geyser Water provides sparkling water, as well as multiple healthy alternatives to sodas and artificially-sweetened drinks.
