Schneider Packaging Equipment has opened a training laboratory at its headquarters in upstate New York, US, in a bid to provide its customers with training on equipment in a controlled environment.
The lab will enable customers to learn specific technical skills without decelerating or halting their production lines, helping in lowering the learning curve once the new system is in place.
Schneider aftermarket services director Jim Kent said: "Schneider Packaging Equipment now offers training on everything from programmable logic controllers to robotics.
"By training customers in a classroom environment with a training cell and structured labs, we know their experience will directly translate to the equipment they are running in their facilities.
The lab's training courses comprise of introduction to Schneider robotics, general Fanuc robotics, unit load creation using pallet pro and Schneider pallet generation software, as well as robot troubleshooting.
The lab also offers programmable logic controllers (PLCs) training, including introduction to PLCs, introduction to Schneider PLC logic, troubleshooting PLCs, product select addition to PLC and HMI fundamentals.
In addition, the lab provides servo motor training, including introduction to servos and servo troubleshooting. Schneider employees will use the training facility apart from customers.
