This year accepting a Lighting Design Award meant more than collecting the trophy and posing for a photo. All of the winners were whisked off stage after collecting their trophies to do a video interview with Lighting.
Florence Lam said she couldn't have won her award without her team while Paul Nulty said his award meant so much to him because it was judged by his industry peers. Patrick Woodroffe, on the other hand, memorably sent an acceptance video from Las Vegas in which Eric Idle reminded him to look on the bright side of life.
