Officials of Q-Railing announced that 16,000 meters(about 52,000 feet)of its Easy Glass railing system will be installed at the MaracanãStadium in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil,in anticipation of the 2016 Olympic Games.will enhance the view from its stands and create more space for fans,using Q-railing's glass handrail systems,in preparation for major upcoming sporting events.
The stadium will use Q-Railing's Easy Glass Slim and Easy Glass 3kN railing systems,in addition to its glass clamp systems to enhance fans'view from the stands,according to Q-Railing officials.
"We're honored and excited to be involved with the Maracanã's renovations,"said Martin Mittelstaedt,business development manager,in a release."As well as the obvious visual benefits of transparency in the stands,our glass systems will promote a clean,modern design,without losing the key safety aspect of railings."
