Gulf Glass 2013, the only dedicated glass exhibition for the entire MENA region, is already recording its largest ever exhibitor uptake, and with four months still to go, will be one of the largest glass industry shows seen in Asia this year.
“The response to Dubai has been excellent” says Derek Burston, exhibition director. “We have already gone past the largest previous edition of the exhibition, and with over 4 months to go, we have contracts issued on 93% of the remaining space” he adds.
Innovations such as “exhibition T.V.” where exhibitors can be interviewed live and broadcast on screens around the exhibition halls has been hugely successful, as Burston explains;
“Gulf Glass has always tried to innovate, and the investment we have made in not only securing Dubai as a venue, but also initiating the exhibition television concept mean that, again, we are right at the forefront of glass exhibition development.”
“Dubai is not only being seen as a regional meeting place, but a global hub” he adds. “Glass industry professionals the world-over are realising that in between visiting Glasstec in Germany every two years, Dubai offers an easy-to-reach option and a true gateway to both east and west” he adds. “For so long the industry has met in the same old venues, regardless of their diminishing relevance in terms of the market. Now with Dubai secured as Gulf Glass’s permanent home, we know that this biennial event will continue to grow in stature as a principal meeting place for the global industry, with the advantage of being in the heart of an increasingly dynamic region” he adds.
