Reuters reported that Southern Province Cement reported 9.6% rise in quarterly profits citing the start up a second production line at one of its plants and increased demand from local markets. Saudi Arabia s biggest cement producer by market value posted Q2 net profit of SAR 262 million for the quarter ended June 30th 2012 compared with SAR 239 million in the year ago period.
