As of December 28, total iron ore inventory at 30 major Chinese ports amounted to 73.14 million mt, down 670,000 mt week on week, constituting the ninth consecutive week-on-week decline, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics. Meanwhile, the total iron ore inventory on the given date was 22.46 million mt lower compared to the same time last year.
As of December 28, at Chinese ports inventories of iron ore from Australia, Brazil and India decreased by 320,000 mt, 220,000 mt and 120,000 mt respectively, all on week-on-week basis.
