During the pilot project for the separate collection of glass in Novosibirsk was collected 6 tons of waste glass. This was announced by the head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Novosibirsk region Yuri Marchenko.
Recall that, according to the regional government, the project was implemented in the long-term target program "Development of the waste management system of production and consumption in the Novosibirsk region for 2012-2016." It was launched in December this year. In yards and Railway Zaeltsovsky regions of Novosibirsk found 27 special containers designed for the collection of glass and aluminum packaging. Among the residents of homes were completed questionnaires on whether the installation of such specialized containers.
Results of the survey showed that the vast majority of respondents are willing to abandon the use of garbage in residential apartment buildings and would be willing to take out the garbage at the appointed container sites, sorted with waste generation. "If the idea of ??a separate collection of glass will become more popular among the general population, these containers can also appear in other courts, which ultimately will reduce the amount of waste disposed to landfills," - said the press service of the regional government.
